| Strengths & Weaknesses | Strengths: Combat Training - In addition to standard combat and weapons training, Alexandra has been trained from childhood by the Orlesian Chantry as a Knight of the Templar Order, in anti-mage combat and magical dispelling using Lyrium. Nobility: Alexandra was born of the Orlesian Nobility as such, she has many inroads with the many noble houses of Orlais. Weakness: Lyrium Addiction: All templars take lyrium, which is used to enable their anti-magic skills and is unofficially used as a control mechanism by the Chantry. Lyrium is a highly addictive substance. As a Templar, Alexandra must take daily draughts of lyrium to continue using the abilities it grants to her. The down of withdrawals are said to be…maddening. |

| Personal History | Alexandra Baudelaire-Laurent was born in Orleis on the 19th of Matrinalis in 9:04 Dragon to Lord Desmond Laurent, Duke of Drakensommet and his wife,Lady Célestine Baudelaire-Laurent, a Noble family with deep roots in the nobility and the Chantry. Alexandra was selected for the Templars with great honor to her family as a small girl, taken from Drakensommet to the Templar Fortress of White Spire at Val Royeaux for training when she turned five. Training at the White Spire under many future Knight-Commanders that would be notable in the coming years, the young girl quickly found herself smitten and taken in with the training as a Knight. Her mentors and instructors all commented on how she moved through the field like a dancer on the stage. This became more apparent as she grew older and trained to move in full plate armor. She had a gift it seemed to them, one that they nurtured into being. She was formally inducted when she took her vows in 9:22 Dragon before the Knight-Vigilant with the Divine and Empress in attendance. She is immediately sent to Therinfal Redoubt to reinforce the Ferelden Order of Templars, seeking Apostate Mages and dark magics. She made quite a name for herself in Ferelden. Numerous Apostates were taken into the Circles based on her work. In 9:31 Dragon, Alexandra is sent to Kirkwall as a Knight-Corporal to reinforce the Kirkwall Order as the Starkhaven Circle survivors are sent there, and at the request of Knight-Commander Meredith. She remains in Kirkwall until the First Battle of Kirkwall, when the Qunari attempt to overtake the city. Fighting is fierce and she is fortunate to come out of the battle with minor wounds. For her actions, she is promoted to Knight-Lieutenant and sent to the Jaspar Order to take command of the Apostate Hunters there, where she is currently stationed as of 9:34 Dragon. |
