| Personal History | Rahvin was born 9:01 Dragon in Lothering to Marcus and Rose. Born to a cattle family Rahvin most of his time hearding and protecting the cattle. It was when he turned 15 his father was killed while they were moving the cattle. While chasing down a calf, Marcus's horse was spooked by a snake bite and he was thrown landing on a large rock. This broke his neck killing him instantly. Rahvin spent the next two years trying keep the ranch going but with the debt it became impossible. He ended up becoming a mercenary, joining the Band of the Iron Hand and moving his family into Lothering proper. Over the next few years he made a bit of a name for himself in some of the skirmishes that had arose that the Band had been hired to participate in. Eventually becoming a Captain with his own division of the Band. Another few years later Rahvin decided that he had had enough of the mercenary life and ended his contract with the Band and headed home. While he had been gone his mother died from an illness and his sister had married a cousin to the Bryland family. When he got home he found out what kind of man this cousin really was. He brought his sister home a widow. Which she was grateful for. Making sure she was set, Rahvin had made peace with what he had done and had been ready to except his fate when a Grey Warden named Duncan recruited him. Rahvin had been tasked with a message for a Warden named Riordan from Duncan. Rahvin made his way to Orlais, only to have the border shut down by Teyrn Loghain. It was when word came of the massacre at Ostagar that Rahvin became distant with the Grey Wardens in Orlais. Especially with his friend Jaslyn. Though he has never told her his reason for this. He feels guilty for not being there, standing side by side with his fellow Grey Wardens, his fellow countrymen. Guilty for being alive. This drove him from Jadar for the past couple of years. Spending his time doing some mercenary work. Yet something in Jadar has brought him back. |
