June 2021 on Dragon Age Legacy

This is a great time to join Dragon Age Legacy! Our characters are making preparations for the Summerday festival in Jader.

Summary of posts completed during June:

Jaslyn, Rhiannon, Cainan, and Jaslyn arrived at the Raven's Roost Tavern, just after Martin and Elinowy's heart-to-heart talk with Kalian about him being a mage. Kalian and his sister Tessa served drinks in celebration of their success and survival at the mine - the first time the six adventurers were all together at once. The group discussed consequences of their mine adventure, and unconventional methods for dealing with Guard Captain Landry.

Elinowy excused herself from the table to partake of the bath Tessa had promised. The others opined on possible uses of the two-person bathtub at Cainan's place.

Harlowe entered the tavern and took a seat at the bar to eavesdrop, but Kalian approached Harlowe and invited them to join the group. Kalian returned to the table with Harlowe, just as they all heard Elinowy scream. Kalian and Rhiannon ran off to help Elinowy. Martin, Cainan, and Jaslyn (wisely) decided additional intrusion on the Chantry sister's bath was unnecessary. Martin brought up paying for the drinks, and Tessa accepted a royal (gold) coin from Cainan.

After leaving the Raven's Roost (following the events of posts 'A time to cleanse' and 'New Friends and Allies' - both nearly complete), Martin escorted Elinowy to the Jader Chantry, according to Guard Captain Landry's orders. Elder Isouda Geffroy, second in the Jader Chantry to Revered Mother Giselle, was waiting for them. Isouda greeted Martin and indicated that Landry had offered Martin's volunteer service to muck out the chantry privies. Isouda invited Elinowy to stay in the chantry dorm and assist with preparations and celebration of the upcoming Summerday festival, and mentally identified Elinowy as a potential scape goat for her own plans.

Elinowy agreed to help with the Summerday festival blessings but declined dormitory residency. After they were dismissed, Elinowy accepted Martin's invitation to stay in his landlord's home and tutor his children.
