October, on Dragon Age Legacy:
Kalian helped Martin take the subdued mugger to the guardhouse. Along the way the mugger made several attempts – a fictional child waiting, various versions of bribes - to convince them to let him go. Once turned over to Audrey, another guard, Kalian and Martin returned to the Raven's Roost. Kalian picked up a crumpled paper before going back inside.
After the mugger is taken away, Cainan offered to pay for Sister Elinowy's room, and buy her a drink. Whilst they were getting to know each other, a ragged woman approached and offered a rose in exchange for a donation of 'alms for the disappeared.' Cainan gave her a coin, and the woman explained that people in the refugee camp have gone missing. Elinowy plans to visit the refugee camp and Cainan decides to stay at the night at the Raven's Roost (in a separate room from the Sister) and go with her.
Martin and Kalian each have an ale at the bar. The paper Kalian picked up in the street turns out to be a flyer advertising well-paid work, and a letter from a would-be worker to his pregnant sweetheart, whom Martin recalls reporting her boyfriend missing. They decide to investigate the next day.
The next day, Martin wakes up in his home early. He rents a room from a human named Raoul, who also lives with his two adopted elven children. Martin reassures Raoul that the children won't be affected by the disappearances, and they talk about prejudice faced by Raoul's children in the mostly-human Chantry school.
At the Raven's Roost tavern, Kalian puts out breakfast for guests, Elinowy sings verses from Transfigurations, and Cainan anticipates the diversion Elinowy can provide. Kalian and Cainan officially meet. The three eat breakfast and leave for the constabulary together.
Jaslyn, an elf recruited into the Grey Wardens to avoid hanging for murder, watches from shadows as Cainan, Elinowy, and Kalian enter the constabulary. Jaslyn has been poking around the ships in port investigating the disappearances of elves, and is now following Cainan because of his association with Captain Richelieu.
