September 2022 on Dragon Age: Legacy

Happy Birthday to Dragon Age: Legacy! This play-by-post collaborative narrative was two years old in September.
Two new players joined us in September! Nazri Arisant and Atria Jain are our newest player-characters, and we are exited to welcome them!
In September we had a record number of completed posts - SEVEN.

The Conclusion of the Summerday La Fête adventure:
Whilst Chantry Elder Isouda anticipated the culmination of her plot to poison Revered Mother Giselle during the traditional banquet held in the Chantry gardens on the Summerday Festival Day of Indulgence, Elinowy, Katya, Rhiannon, and Kalian arrived separately, armed with antidote and the knowledge of what Isouda had planned.
Elinowy made friends with Knight Captain Joseph Dunbar. Katya impresses Lady Seryl, governor of Jader. Jerrik Saelac, Master Blacksmith, attempted to flirt with Rhiannon. And Kalian tried unsuccessfully to keep a low profile pretending to be a servant. In preparation for Mother Giselle's toast, wine was served as everyone in attendance - representatives of the noble families, traders, craftspersons, and ordinary citizens - were seated. Our heroes were able to identify which wine bottles were poisoned and take appropriate action. Elinowy succeeded in swapping the wine glasses of Giselle, Isouda, and herself.
Several things happened at once when Mother Giselle completed her toast. Katya knocked a poisoned glass of wine from Lady Seryl's hand, and Rhiannon did the same for a wine merchant. Kalian shouted out that some of the wine was poisoned. Isouda drank from her own glass, to demonstrate it was not poisoned. Elinowy drank from a poisoned glass of wine to prove it was. Whilst Rhiannon rushed to give Elinowy the antidote, Katya explained what had happened to Mother Giselle, and Kalian asserted Captain Landry's involvement and criminal connections. Isouda collapsed - Elinowy had switched her glass with Giselle's. Kalian administered antidote to Isouda. The antidote wasn't working on Elinowy so Kalian used magic to revive her.
Mother Giselle and Lady Seryl had Isouda and Landry arrested.

Two days after Summerday Atria Jain, Tevinter ex-patriot, is doing pullups in the lighthouse home she shares with her wife Adrienne and Adrienne's extended family. As Atria and her wife escort their nieces and nephews to Chantry school, they talk about the possibility of Atria joining the Jader city guard.
Three days after Summerday, qunari bounty hunter Nazri Arisant walked into the Raven's Roost in Jader. Kalian greeted him, fetched him a bowl of stew, poured two tankards of ale, and sat down with him to chat. Nazri reveals only that he's been told a story, wants to check it out, and is looking for a man. After confirming murder is not Nazri's goal, Kalian offers to show Nazri around town and help him find this man.

5 years in the past:
Kalian and Kithris met in the forest southwest of Jader. Kalian, age 20, still lived part time with his grandmother, and was gathering herbs. Kithris, age 18, had traveled to the region with her Dalish clan, and her Keeper had just gifted her with a special hunting bow that focused her magic. They talked, and Kalian offered to show Kithris his favorite place in the forest, a perfect place to swim. One thing led to another, and soon they were doing more than skinny-dipping together.
Twelve years in the past:
Nazri, at the age of fourteen, had gotten lost. After wandering for some time he approached a human town where a group of human children on the outskirts hurled insults and had started to threaten him, when a sixteen-year-old human named Kyle intervened and offered help.
Kyle took Nazri home via an indirect route to avoid being followed. While Kyle went out to acquire part of their meal, Nazri saw his own reflection clearly in a mirror for the first time. After they ate, Kyle offered his bed for Nazri to sleep in, but declined Nazri's innocent invitation to share the bed. That night Kyle had a nightmare in which he was chased and slammed over a cliff by an enormous dog. Kyle comforts him with reassurance and a stiff drink, and informs Nazri that he is in the city of Dairsmuid. Kyle suggest he stay there, but Nazri insists it is his duty to return to Qunandar.
Two years later at the age of 16, Nazri is being chased through freezing rain along a mountain path, running away from his own people.
Nazri hides in a cave, then slips down a side passage. He evades his pursuers, but it takes five days to find his way out of the cave system. From there he heads toward Dairsmuid, and perhaps a reunion with Kyle...
