February 2021 On Dragon Age Legacy

Summary of posts during February:

Martin, Kalian, and Elinowy took the mine worker that collapsed, Orla, to the 'infirmary,' a place for sick and injured workers to die. They observed Roxa giving Rhiannon a tour. To avoid outing himself as an apostate, Kalian asked Elinowy to pray for the sick, then used magic to heal an old man and his granddaughter while Elinowy sang. As a result, Martin and Elinowy suspected each other of using magic. The old man supplied information about guards and a previous uprising. Martin, Kalian, and Elinowy made a plan to free the workers.

Meanwhile, reaching the end of an intense session of negotiation, Roxa was not satisfied with Rhiannon's fair offer to transport the silverite, and invited Rhiannon to go on a tour of the mine. They descended to into the ravine to the mine entrance, with Roxa's qunari guard Gangue and two of Rhiannon's guards. In the mine's main cavern, Roxa talked about her operation in glowing terms, while leading Rhiannon to a jail cell in the back. Kalian ran up to them to convey a message. Rhiannon understood his warning, and announced to Roxa that she must leave, after speaking to the three workers she'd arrived with.

Martin went looking for leaders of the previous rebellion in the mine. He convinced a human pair, Geoff and Sorrel to let him free them from their chains and join the rebellion. Meanwhile Elinowy, hoping to resolve the conflict without bloodshed, told a guard she must speak with Roxa. He dragged her into a side tunnel to beat her, but Elinowy used her song to confuse him then knock him unconscious. After speaking to Rhiannon, Kalian returned to the first tunnel and asked Costard to spread the message of rebellion, then found Martin speaking/freeing another past agitator and asking her to help. Kalian tried to tell Martin he was an apostate, but his confession was misunderstood then interrupted when Elinowy caught up to them. Fighting erupted when Martin swung his pickaxe at Gangue's head. The battle began well with Roxa joining their side, but Elinowy and Martin faltered with the realization that Kalian was a mage.
