Summary of posts during March:

After leaving the Cassabianca, Captain Richelieu's ship, Jaslyn and Cainan went to Cainan's apartment in Jader hightown for a drink. Over wine at Cainan's prompting, Jaslyn described how she came to be blamed for the murder of Cainan's other old gambling partner, Antoine, and how she became a Grey Warden to avoid hanging. Cainan confessed to an indirect role in Antione's abuse, and his cavalier history of not stopping to consider the consequences of his actions and lifestyle. He expressed his intention to change and Jaslyn assured Cainan he could. Then Jaslyn challenged him to a game of Wicked Grace, wagering their clothing instead of coin – a game with a very Dragon Age ending.

Cainan and Jaslyn arrived at the Raven's Roost tavern long after Martin, Kalian, and Elinowy left to find Roxa's hiring location and encountered Rhiannon. They exchanged information with Kalian's sister Tessa who would be rousing the city guard, then went after the others. Jaslyn and Cainan made it to the mining camp, determined that the workers must be prisoners in the mine below, and decided to use the element of surprise to take control of the mining camp. The two moved stealthily around the camp, picking off Roxa's guards, killing a few of Roxa's people, but subduing and taking most of them alive.

Finally down to five enemies, Cainan and Jaslyn fought and killed three, while the two dwarves Rhiannon left on the surface killed the other two guards. They had control of the lift, the only access to the mine.

-----

Whilst Cainan and Jaslyn were busy on the surface, down in the mine the battle continued. The qunari broke the pickaxe Martin wielded and Kalian cast a temporary spell to paralyze him. Then Elinowy fell to one of Roxa's guards slashing her with his blade. Kalian rushed to heal Elinowy, and secret tattoos on her body were revealed to him in the process. Rhiannon engaged in a deadly dance with Roxa, rapier and dagger against sword and shield. But Roxa's fury and arrogance was no match for Rhiannon's speed and coolheaded grace, and in the end Rhi ran her rapier across Roxa's throat.

Meanwhile, Martin grabbed a sword discarded by one of Roxa's guards and lured the qunari toward a low-hanging stalactite where his horn caught, giving Martin a momentary advantage to drive his sword into the qunari's midsection. The qunari dropped his greatsword but kept fighting. Bolstered by Elinowy's song, Kalian cast a paralyzing spell on the qunari and healed Martin's wound. Elinowy bravely distracted the qunari with just a whip, then Martin finished him off with the qunari's own greatsword.

Roxa, her qunari bodyguard Gangue, and Roxa's guards were at last defeated.

In the aftermath of the battle, still-chained workers were freed, an infirmary setup, and food and supplies passed around. While Kalian used his magic to heal workers, Martin and Elinowy discussed Kalian's apostasy. Rhiannon discovered that one of her two guards that had accompanied her into the mine had been killed.

Elinowy responded to the calls of two dwarves - the father and daughter owners of the mine, Pyrtin and Lirta - locked up in the darkest recesses of the mine. Kalian healed Rhiannon's injury, and she offered him work. Martin found the keys to their jail cell on Roxa's body and released them.

Just as they turned their attention to the problem of escaping the mine to the surface, Cainan and one of Rhi's guards descended on the lift.
